L.D. Grove moved back to Meeker almost sixteen years ago after working at Enron for 10 years. In 1994 he quit his job to come back and start a business. He says that it took about a year before he decided on buying what was then the Gentry Motor Lodge. Soon after the purchase, the name was changed to the White River Inn and eight years of cleaning and remodeling followed until everything was brought up to speed. Approximately six years ago, nine larger rooms were added until today, we have what their website advertises as,  “The quietest, cleanest rooms in Meeker!” The site also states, “If you like crowds, don’t waste your time. If it’s quiet laid back place you’re looking for, you’ve found it!”
